A blend of 85% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. In 2005 we harvested our Merlot twice, two weeks apart. The Merlot used in the Sangiovese is from the second Merlot.Filled with subtle characteristics of strawberry cream, vanilla and spice, this wine is made for an Italian feast. Light, creamy characteristics of butter and toast result in a luxurious feel in the mouth and a pleasant finish. Our delicate Cameo is Vernaccia, a grape not yet recognized in the US. Vernaccia is a Tuscan grape associated with the area of San Gimignano. Cameo is crisp and clean, soft and refreshing with a hint of grapefruit and the subtle aroma of orange blossom.
Food Pairing: rich cheeses and cream sauces, shell fish, white fish and fruits such as mango, papaya and avocado.
