Honey Oak House is not just a Bed & Breakfast but a real getaway experience. We are located in a small valley of rolling hills, cattle ranches and vineyards. Laraneta Vineyards surrounds us with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, providing a spectacular environment for our guests to enjoy at their leisure.
The house itself is a quarter century old family home. It has been converted to provide a true Bed & Breakfast experience for a limited number of guests. The name was a gift when one January an ancient oak near the house was pruned and a bee hive discovered. The bees have since left but the name remains.
The three guests rooms at Honey Oak House are named for the three varieties of red grapes grown in the vineyards. All of the rooms have porches with table and chairs from which guests may enjoy the sunset over hundred year old oaks while sipping a glass of wine. This tranquil end to a busy day is one of the pleasures that makes Honey Oak House so unique.

All the rooms have satellite TV, food centers, hair dryers, magnifying mirrors, air conditioning and internet access. The food centers have a garbage disposal, small refrigerator and microwave oven.

Sitting on the porch, enjoying rolling hills and the grape vines that surround you, it may be hard to believe but you are in one of the most popular tourist areas in California. Honey Oak House is 5 miles from Hwy 101, 12 miles from Paso Robles and 10 miles from Atascadero. Cambria is only 35 minutes to the west, San Simeon and Hearst Castle 45 minutes, and Lake Nacimiento a 30 minute drive to the east. There are golf courses, thermal hot springs and antique shops within a 15 minute drive.

While staying at Honey Oak House one feels a world away from LA or San Francisco. The clear clean tap water comes from a well. There are no street lights along Templeton Rd, no signals or noisy traffic. At night the stars shine out brightly and the moon is bright enough to walk by.

The vineyards and olive orchard are an integral part of each day’s activities for the Laranetas. A minimum stay of two nights is required on event weekends. All rooms must be booked in advance. The full cost of your reservation will be applied to your credit card and is non-refundable. We will reschedule without penalty or fee as long as your request is received by fax or email ten days ahead of your original arrival date.
Check in is 3pm-7pm, check out by 11am. Breakfast is at 9am and appetizers are served from 5-6pm (All of the above is subject to change without notice.) |
